  5. What is Kick1.3?
  6.  
  7.         Well it allows all those people with 2.x and 3.x of
  8. AmigaDOS to get back some compatibility with older programs.
  9. AmigaDOS 1.3 is arguably the most compatible of the various
  10. incarnations out there, and many games that fail on the AGA
  11. machines can be brought back to life with this program.
  12.  
  13.         If you have 1.x of AmigaDOS you won't need this
  14. program.
  15.  
  16.         To use Kick1.3, you must convert this program back
  17. into binary. First UUDECODE this file, then use DMS's WRITE
  18. option to place the program onto a blank disk.
  19.  
  20.         Reset your machine, place the disk in df0: The disk
  21. will run and the Kickstart files copied into RAM.

  23.         When the message

  27. appears, the screen will flash grey as the machine reboots,
  28. remove the disk from the drive. (DO NOT KEEP THE DISK IN THE
  29. DRIVE, THE PROGRAM *WILL NOT* WORK!!!).

  31.         If the program has run successfully, you will get the
  32. KickStart 1.3 prompt. This program does *NOT* emulate the
  33. Workbench, if you have a program that boots from Workbench,
  34. you will need a copy of Workbench 1.3 (which IS the copyright
  35. Commodore).
